Herringbone Coverall Jacket
Originally developed by the Romans and later adopted in British workshops, herringbone is a construction built to endure. Its distinctive fishbone weave found new life in the uniforms and workwear of a bygone industrial age. Today, it remains a quiet classic — honest, enduring, and effortlessly refined.
This jacket is cut from a beautiful 100% cotton herringbone deadstock cloth.
Woven, dyed, and finished by a historic textile mill in the North of England, weaving premium cloth since 1880. The weight is exactly as you’d expect — substantial yet comfortable. Finished in works black, the cloth will develop its own character with wear and time.
Cut and sewn in the United Kingdom in short-batch production.
Each jacket is constructed individually on vintage industrial machines using traditional methods. Inner seams and facings are taped and bound, with bar tacks at stress points for longevity. Keyhole buttonholes are cut one by one on a 1940s vintage Reece 101 industrial buttonhole machine and finished with quality deadstock tonal buttons.
Two lower pockets — unique design, constructed as two separate pockets in one — sit alongside an internal chest pocket and an outer chest pocket.
