Mills Herringbone Overshirt
A beautiful premium 100% cotton herringbone twill, chosen for its balance of durability, weight and comfort. The ideal weight for an overshirt, substantial enough to wear as a light weight jacket, yet soft and comfortable against the skin. Lighter in weight than our Herringbone Coverall Jackets.
Each overshirt is garment washed to soften the cloth, add a little character and eliminate any further shrinkage during home laundering.
The cloth is a rare premium deadstock, discovered in the archive of a historic North of England textile mill founded in 1880.
Cut and sewn in Great Britain in a small limited batches, each overshirt is individually constructed on vintage industrial machines using traditional techniques. French seams, a sewn in buggy lining, bound facings and an authentic one-piece workwear collar reflect the attention given to every detail.
The overshirt has an outer chest pocket and a handy inner chest pocket.
Keyhole Buttonholes are individually cut on a vintage 1950s Reece 101 keyhole machine, one at a time, by hand.
Finished with genuine English made horn buttons dating from the 1980s. Beautifully made and with their own history, they add another layer of character to the piece. (Alternative buttons can be fitted upon request)

Wash Care:
30* wash, Do not tumble dry, warm Iron, Do not bleach, Do not dry clean. Wash similar colours together.
Fit Recommendation:
Regular fit, true to size, go for your usual size.
