Originated by the Romans to British workshops — the herringbone construction is built to last. A distinctive fishbone weave, found new life in the uniforms and workwear of a bygone industrial age. Today, it remains a quiet classic — honest, enduring, and effortlessly refined.
A beautiful 100% cotton herringbone cloth, the original workwear construction. Woven, dyed and finished by a historical textile mill in the North of England that has been weaving premium cloth since 1880. The weight you'd expect from an overshirt, comfortable yet durable in the darkest navy blue, this piece will gain it's own character over time.
We'll make just a limited number in style, making just a few for the few.
Authentic one piece workwear collar design, outer chest pocket and handy inner chest pocket.
The shirt is cut and sewn in our home town of Derby, UK, the quality and make are first class. Constructed by hand using traditional french seams with a sewn in buggy lining. Keyhole buttonholes cut one by one on a 1950's Reece 101 machine; every detail is considered, nothing is automated and nothing is rushed. The original horn buttons are beautiful, genuine deadstock made in England in the 1980's (we can change this to an alternative upon request).

Composition:

Wash Care:
30* wash, do not tumble dry, warm iron, do not bleach, do not dry clean. Wash similar colours together.

Below are technical measurements when the garment is laid flat, these measurements will be bigger than your actual chest measurement, allowing room for movement.
Chest measurements are taken 2cm below armpits.
Back length does not include the collar or rib.
