Tanker Jacket
Made to Order, available 2 weeks after order.
Special Project No.11:
Made by hand in our hometown of Derby, UK, using thoughtfully sourced authentic workwear, military, utility and vintage surplus materials, combined with premium, rare deadstock cloth. We only rework small batches to a very high standard, that are individually numbered and dated. Each piece is unique with it’s own history and story to tell.
Made by hand in our hometown of Derby, each Tanker Jacket MK4 is made using an unissued (never worn/never seen action) authentic 1990’s military tank crew liner. This is a made to order piece, each jacket is individually numbered and dated, creating a new chapter with its own history and story to tell.
This is the first button-front Tanker Jacket we’ve ever created, and it represents our most refined iteration to date. Lightweight yet warm, this technical rip-stop quilted liner was originally engineered for tank crews in extreme cold, offering high levels of technical functionality.
No shortcuts are taken, nothing is automated, every detail is considered. Every liner is carefully deconstructed and every panel is individually cut by hand, then reconstructed on vintage industrial machines.
This piece is built to last, with bound seams and a reinforced construction.
Finished with original military-inspired details: reinforced pockets, authentic cotton contrast zip chest pocket, concealed inner chest storage pocket, and keyhole buttonholes cut one by one on an 1950s Reece 101 industrial machine.
By reimagining this small piece of history, by being creative with what already exists, circularity, sustainability and heritage lie at the heart of Reworked 348.
Making just a few for the few.
